What memory holds is a tangle of memories. A landscape seen for the first time often rekindles in memory something already seen, visited, experienced.
This “revisited landscape” series are images that recall a real or imaginary past, of dreams or travels that the artist revisits through collages. The stone that refers to the place, due to the similarity to the image, is the living and tactile nature that makes the place almost real, suspended in the landscape like our memories full of uncertainty and imagination.
The title of each work was taken from the short story by Guimarães Rosa - There is Minas: mining, where he says: “Minas is a mountain”. In this story, the artist revisits the memory of her hometown, in the forest zone of Minas Gerais.
Collage – personal collection photography, magazine images, wood and stone in a wooden and glass box.
